The Educational-Leisure Center for Youth SPAJALICA in IlidĹľa was visited by volunteers from 8 countries.     


A "Coffee Time with..." session was organized with the volunteers of the European Voluntary Service during which youth exchanged their experiences. The session was attended by volunteers from the European Voluntary Service and Educational-Leisure Center for Youth SPAJALICA and by representatives of the Association for Preventing Addiction "Narko-Ne".           


They discussed the lifestyle of youth in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the educational system and advantages that volunteering provides for youth.

The voluneers of the European Voluntary Service were intorduced with the activities of the Institute for Youth Development KULT and the Educational-Leisure Center for Youth SPAJALICA, and tried to master the basics of the local language.        


The European Voluntary Service (EVS) enables youth to perform voluntary services from the area of their interest in another country. Youth may volunteer in areas such as culture, youth, sports, children, cultural heritage, art, animal welfare, environment, etc.  


Volunteers from Austria, Denmark, Turkey, France, Germany, Czech Republic, Italy and the United Kingdom spend at least 3 months and no more than 1 year in the countries of Western Balkans, where they meet youth, aid in resolving local issues and acquire new knowledge that they will implement in their future voluntary engagements.

The “Open Doors Day” was organized at the Educational-Leisure Center for Youth SPAJALICA in Ilidža on Friday, April 22, 2016.


During the 2-hour program, the activities and offer of SPAJALICA were presented and the Center was visited by over 100 elementary schools students.


Elementary school students participated in workshops dedicated to celebrating April 22 – Earth Day, through different thematic quizzes, and numerous interactive games.


Sports games for elementary school students were also organized in front of the Educational-Leisure Center for Youth SPAJALICA. The students participated in various contests and resourcefulness games under the supervision of teachers and volunteers.

"SPAJALICA is one of the rare centers of this type in BiH and we are glad to say that for the past 8 years we have been aiding youth in their upbringing and development. The professional staff of the center daily dedicates its time to, through different workshops, courses and other activities, work with school children and help them in spending their leisure time with a purpose. The organization of the “Open Doors Day” in SPAJALICA was supported by the Municipality of IlidĹľa, the representatives of which visited the Center.

The Educational-Leisure Center for Youth SPAJALICA in IlidĹľa is organizing an Open Doors Day on April 22, 2016.


SPAAJLICA will open its doors for all students and citizens of IlidĹľa who wish to learn more about the activities and the offer of this center.


Numerous workshops will be organized for elementary school students and they will have the opportunity to attend the lecture dedicated to celebrating April 22 – Earth Day, participate in an organized quiz and numerous interactive games.


Sports games for elementary school students will be organized in front of the Educational- Leisure Center SPAJALICA in IlidĹľa. The students will have the opportunity to compete in ball games, resourcefulness games, and relay races.

SPAJALICA is an educational-leisure center for youth, established by the Institute for Youth Development KULT that has been, for the past 8 years, one of rare places in which youth can participate in different activities, non-formal trainings and attend different courses.


The vision of the Educational-Leisure Center for Youth SPAJALICA is the society that provides youth to become satisfied and socially reliable citizens through spending their leisure time with a purpose.


The Open Doors Day activities at the Educational-Leisure Center SPAJALICA will be held from 10 to 12. 


 

The third in a series of lectures of the Disciplinary Center was held at the Educational-Leisure Center for Youth SPAJALICA. 


Representatives of the Disciplinary Center for Minors discussed the methods of stopping and preventing peer violence with students of High School of Graphic Technology, Design and Multimedia and the Fourth Gymnasium.

Representatives of the Disciplinary Center for Minors emphasized that it was necessary to initate the cadre strengthening of educational institutions so that every school has its pedagogist, psychologist and social worker in order for them to act preventively on all forms of peer violence and juvenile deliquency. 


The Disciplinary Center for Minors is an institution that focuses on preventing peer violence and every other form of violence, and as a part of preventive activities, they organize educational and disciplinary measures and individual preventive treatments related to the population of youth expressing risky forms of behavior but who have not committed an offensive or criminal act yet.
