The Institute for Youth Development KULT invites local units of self-government in Bosnia and Herzegovina to apply to a public call and participate in establishing a model for funding non-governmental organizations dealing with youth issues. The public call is announced by “Capacity Building Works”, an initiative supported by the Government of Switzerland, and implemented by the Institute for Youth Development KULT. The public call is open until March 8, 2022, 4 p.m.
Local units of self-government are applying to receive professional support in establishing a sustainable model for funding non-governmental organizations. Successful applicants will also receive funding from the Institute for Youth Development KULT in the amount of 30,000 BAM, provided that they contribute the same amount, increasing the total to 60,000 BAM. These funds will be used to support the activities of non-governmental organizations addressing youth issues in the local community.

APPLICATION CRITERIA
The public call is open to all local units of self-government in Bosnia and Herzegovina that meet the following criteria:
- The local government will provide funds for supporting project proposals of non-governmental organizations that actively work on improving the position of youth in the country. They will be expected to match the 30,000 BAM provided by the Institute for Youth Development KULT, bringing the total to 60,000 BAM.
- The local self-government must be willing to adjust and implement the Methodology for allocating funds to non-governmental organizations implementing projects that benefit youth; publish a call for awarding funds to civil society organizations; and ensure that budget funds are available for these purposes from May to December 2022, i.e. the planned implementation period for these projects.
SUBMISSION DEADLINE
Applicants are required to submit their application in an electronic format by 4 p.m. on 8 March 2022, with all the required attachments, after registering as an organization on the online grant management platform KULT/APPLY. They will be required to provide information about the local government and select the public call they are applying to. After submitting their application, the applicants will receive an automated confirmation email. Applications submitted after the deadline or in a manner other than the one described above will not be taken into consideration.
