Companies in BiH are increasingly more aware of the importance of ensuring respect for human rights in their operations, which is why many of them are deciding to sign the Charter on Business and Human Rights developed by the Institute for Youth Development KULT in cooperation with the Association of Employers of FBiH with the support of the European Union.
Koteks d.o.o. is a leather goods manufacturing and export company operating in BiH and the region. They manufacture leather and textile goods, clothes, work uniforms and shoes, PPK equipment, army, police and special forces equipment (special purpose equipment). This company was founded in 1994, and has been operating successfully since.
By signing the Charter on Business and Human Rights, Koteks reaffirmed their dedication to continue upholding the principles stated in the Charter. As a socially responsible company, Koteks is already operating in accordance with the Charter’s principles. We will continue to do so, and are fully aware of the importance of the Charter.
The Charter consists of 15 articles concerning the prevention of human rights violations, involving stakeholders to ensure their voices and needs are heard, expressing commitment to equality, positive work environment, no forced labor or involvement in human trafficking, the right to a communication system that offers all employees confidentiality when reporting. The Charter is available for download here.
