TEENAGE FASHION SHOW: Revija banjalučkih srednjoškolaca pred oduševljenom sarajevskom publikom

The team of young creatives from IMPAKT Sarajevo never fails to delight the audience and the BiH public with their youth fashion shows. After a spectacular show in August 2022, where eight young designers from Sarajevo showcased their designs on the roof of the Skenderija Youth Center, another impressive fashion show was organized in October of the same year at the renovated Youth Center in Banja Luka.

The October story that began with young people in Banja Luka continues with a beautiful spring chapter. Over the past few months, IMPAKT Sarajevo have been sharing their knowledge and experience with responsible and sustainable fashion concepts and principles with young people from Banja Luka – students of the Polytechnic School who have shown interest in design.

The culmination of the six-month mentoring program for young high school students from Banja Luka was the TEENAGE FASHION SHOW 2023, which captivated a large audience in Sarajevo on Sunday.

The fashion show provided Banja Luka high school students with a platform to share their designs as young, emerging designers and demonstrate what they had learned through the process. Lara Skopljak is one of the students from the Polytechnic School in Banja Luka who showed her designs for the first time yesterday. Lara was full of enthusiasm and positive impressions:

“I am grateful to the IMPACT team for organizing our first fashion show, with our models and designs, because this was the first time we presented our work in fashion design. We are very grateful for all the useful advice, and we enjoyed spending time together. I hope there will be more opportunities like this for high school students. I am proud of how my friends from the Polytechnic Secondary School of Banja Luka proved their worth, truly beyond all expectations. And most importantly, we learned a lot by doing this” – said Lara.

By supporting yet another fantastic fashion show and a group of creative young people, the Institute for Youth Development KULT and Sweden in Bosnia and Herzegovina continue their ongoing collaboration to empower young people in building and strengthening their leadership skills.
