Since its establishment, the Institute for Youth Development KULT has been working on improving the status of young people, with a particular focus on improving the quality of education. This is one of our priorities when we advocate for and support governments in developing youth policies.
Since research done by the Institute for Youth Development KULT and others has time and again shown that young people are unhappy with the education system in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Institute held consultative meetings with the Institute for the Development of Pre-Tertiary Education of Sarajevo Canton and signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with this important institution.
The mission of this Institute is to build a successful future for Sarajevo Canton through general, social, and economic progress, with higher-quality education for future generations. The Institute for the Development of Pre-Tertiary Education of Sarajevo Canton is an advisory, educational, and coordinating body that initiates and manages the growth and development of the educational system in Sarajevo Canton.
Quality cooperation among all participants in the educational process, along with their motivation, dedication, responsibility, continuous learning, and professional development, is the foundation for developing pedagogical and scientific standards for quality education. Ultimately, this means better education, which will fuel the progress of the BiH society.
The Memorandum of Cooperation allows the Institute for Youth Development KULT and the Institute for Pre-University Education to support young people in Bosnia and Herzegovina by providing training and various activities. We will also work together to develop new programs and initiatives aimed at high school staff in Sarajevo Canton.
The Institute for Youth Development KULT will offer training to teaching and professional staff of secondary schools, with a focus on service learning and experiential learning. In doing so, we will also strengthen cooperation between schools and local youth organizations.
