Posušje Youth Council Host to Cantonal Youth Councils

A second work meeting of the cantonal youth council representatives was held on November 22 2014 in Posušje. This time, the topic of the discussion was forming Ljubuški Municipality youth council to fulfil the terms for forming the West Herzegovina Canton youth council, the sixth cantonal council. Representatives of the Canton Sarajevo Youth Council, Una-Sana Canton Youth Council, Tuzla Canton Youth Council, Posavina Canton Youth Council, Mostar Youth Council, Posušje Municipality Youth Council, Ljubuški Municipality youth associations’ representatives and the representatives of the Institute for Youth Development KULT attended the meeting.

Ljubuški Municipality youth associations’ representatives announced forming youth council in the municipality, meaning all institutions at all levels will have partners in youth umbrella organisations upon forming a new government in BiH. The representatives exchanged their experiences in the past, pointed out all obstacles they faced with and the way they overcame them. A frequent lack of the financial resources needed and a lack of human resource were discussed in particular.
