Initiative to Develop Youth Strategy in Una-Sana Canton

Committee for education, science, sports and youth of the Una-Sana Canton Assembly delivered an initiative to the Cantonal Assembly for developing a cantonal youth strategy. The strategy, which is also a legal requirement in all cantons of FBiH, should determin precisely the aims and measures of the authorities’ care for youth.

In developing the strategy, the Institute for Youth Development KULT should provide technical and expert support to the cantonal authorities. That was precisely the topic of the discussion at the Government of Una-Sana Canton, attended by: Damir Hodži?, the Committee Chairman, Mr. Kenan Keserovi?, Deputee of the Committee Chairman and representatives of the Institute for Youth Development KULT. Jasmin Beši?, the executive director of the Institute, emphasized that the Institute is already participating in development of the strategy at a federal level and promissed support to representatived of the Committee, both in drafting the document and in training persons who would participate in the work group for developing the strategy. Mr. Hodži? discussed the youth problems in the Canton and emphasized the governmental requirement to aid youth enterpreneurs in accomplishing their plans. Mr. Keserovi? added that the Committee will insist on increasing budget assets distributed to the youth in the future and expressed the hope to approach the youth issues in a strategic manner.
