At the Educational-Leisure Centre for Youth SPAJALICA, as a part of the JUPPO Project, a workshop was held for youth related to using the Internet, social networks and the means of protection and decrease of their excessive usage.
The workshop was attended by youth of the SOS Kinderdorf who, together with youth from the area of IlidĹľa Municipality, participate in the JUPPO Project workshops led by youth workers undergoing the process of expert training. During the five-hour workshop, youth had the opportunity to see a film related to negative influences of social networks on youth, excessive usage, as well as how all the users are exposed on the Internet and on social networks. Afterwards, youth discussed the film and messages it sends and tools for protection and possiblities to control and use the Internet in everyday life.
The Project is realised by the Association for Preventing Addiction NARCO-NO from Sarajevo. JUPPO Project responds to youth requirements through modules of training of youth workers and networking key actors in preventing addiction. JUPPO Project will be realised through 7 educational modules of 4-5 days led by international expets. 18 participants from all over BiH will acquire expert and pedagogic competences for practical work with youth in the area of preventing addiction. Organisations and institutions of participants will form a non-formal network to become a profiled partner in making decisions concerning improvement of raising conditions for children and youth, so they could grow up in a society without addiction and violent behaviour.
