According to 2012 estimates of the International Work Organization, more than 20 million people were victims of forced labour, labour they were forced to perform or conned into performing, which they were not able to abandon.
The three-day training on Human Trafficking: the current situation and ways of protecting yourself; will help you become peer eudcators in your local community, thus contributing to finding a solution to this problem.
Human trafficking is a problem of global proportions which includes numerous criminal activities, such as: purchasing and selling, recruiting, transporting, hiding and accomodating individuals for the purpose of their exploitation through forced labour, prostitution/sexual exploitation, begging, forced marriage, slavery, organ removal or other forms of exploitation. Human trafficking is often wrongly equalized with prostitution, smuggling of migrants, bad working conditions, as well as for some traditions of certain cultures. Human trafficking represents a serious violation of human rights guaranteed by the legal instruments of BiH.
