The three-day training on Human Trafficking: the current situation and ways of protecting yourself; will help you become peer eudcators in your local community, thus contributing to finding a solution to this problem.
Human trafficking is a problem of global proportions which includes numerous criminal activities, such as: purchasing and selling, recruiting, transporting, hiding and accomodating individuals for the purpose of their exploitation through forced labour, prostitution/sexual exploitation, begging, forced marriage, slavery, organ removal or other forms of exploitation. Human trafficking is often wrongly equalized with prostitution, smuggling of migrants, bad working conditions, as well as for some traditions of certain cultures. Human trafficking represents a serious violation of human rights guaranteed by the legal instruments of BiH.
Organized by whom?
The Institute for Youth Development KULT in cooperation with Caritas of Bishop’s conference of BiH, with the support of the German association for international cooperation GIZ, is conducting the training course for peer educators on human trafficking.
Young people will be acquainted with the problem of human trafficking through interactive methodology. They will learn to recognize the dangers and (potential) victims of human trafficking in their communities. They will also be acquainted with indicators of human trafficking for explotation purposes, after which they will be able to share their newly acquired knowledge with their local community peers.
When and where?
The training course will be held from 20 – 22 November 2013 in the Educational-Leisure Centre for Youth SPAJALICA, Banjska Street 2 in Ilidža.
