Tuzla Canton started 2018 by putting youth at the top of the government’s list of priorities.
The first day of 2018 saw the forming of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth of Tuzla Canton, with the coming into force of the Law on amendments and supplements to the Law on Ministries and Other Administrative Bodies in Tuzla Canton.
This new Ministry was formed to improve and support the development of culture and sports and improve the position of youth in Tuzla Canton.
According to this Ministry, their strategic focus will be on developing culture, sports and improving the position of youth, through more intensive activities intended to improve the quality of life for youth in this Canton.
The Institute for Youth Development KULT advocated this initiative, asking that youth be provided with a competent authority who will address their needs and problems in a strategic way.
The newly formed Ministry was created by separating a section of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, in order to approach this field strategically, address youth needs more responsibly, and develop key areas for their progress and development.
