The position of youth in Sarajevo Canton can and must be improved. Representatives of both the governmental and the civil sector are aware of this fact. That is why today at the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Sarajevo Canton a meeting was held which was attended by Mr. Elvir Kazazovi?, the Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Sarajevo Canton, Sifet Kukuruz, the Minister’s Advisor and Lejla Lihovac, the Expert Associate on Youth Issues at the Ministry, along with representatives of the Institute for Youth Development KULT.
At the meeting, a cooperation on developing Youth Strategy in this canton that should be completed by the end of this year was principally arranged. Katarina Vu?kovi? and Belma Gijo, representatives of the Institute for Youth Development KULT introduced the attendants with previous experiences and activities of the Institute for Youth Development KULT that refer to improving the position of youth. Several models of developing the strategy were suggested and cooperation was principally arranged in other fields that will lead to improving the youth position in Sarajevo Canton.
Elvir Kazazovi?, the Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Sarajevo Canton emphasized that he is aware of the importance of a strategic approach to youth. He stated that the Ministry was prepared to cooperate with both the Institute and youth so that the document that would include youth issues and offer solutions would be developed and, more importantly, as he emphasized, adopted as soon as possible.
