Volunteering – A Way to Adopt New Values

We talked to students of Prva bošnjačka gimnazija from Sarajevo about volunteering, because they decided to implement their “Citizen” project with the support of the Institute for Youth Development KULT.

The project “Citizen” is part of the Democracy curriculum, and Merjem Mašić, Nerma Bijelonja and Rejhana Salihović want to use this initiative to teach their peers about volunteering and motivate them to become more socially engaged.

The Institute’s employees shared their experiences with the students, and talked to them about the importance of volunteering, civil engagement and contributions youth give to their environment.

During their preparation for the school competition within the project “Citizen”, these students contacted the Institute for Youth Development KULT as a competent NGO dealing with youth issues and volunteering.
