The executive director of the Institute for Youth Development KULT Jasmin Beši? and the president of the association “Friends of Srebrenica” signed a grant-awarding contract today for establishing the third UMiD (Learn, Think, Act) Online Centre in Srebrenica.
UMiD (Learn, Think and Act) is a training that the Institute for Youth Development KULT has been conducting for over 10 years in an in class version that 300 youths have attended so far.
“In order to respond adequately to an increasing interest of youth to attend the UMiD training and become youth leaders on its completion, we have decided to make UMiD training available online as well. Thus, we have provided a chance for all the young people to attend it. They have to have Internet access and a computer, so they could attend the training at home. Those who have no access will be able to attend it in UMiD centres” – stated Jasmin Beši?, Director of the Institute for Youth Development KULT.
The ceremony was attended by the youth from the Association as well as the representatives of the Srebrenica Municipality. The president of the Association “Friends of Srebrenica” Dragana Jovanovi? expressed her gratitude for the support and pleasure that, amongst many applicants, the Association “Friends of Srebrenica” was the one to receive the funds for equipping the Association with information communication technology that will be used for online educating of youth leaders.
UMiD online centres already exist in Jablanica and Sarajevo and one is soon to be established in Velika Kladuša as well.
