The Institute for Youth Development KULT in cooperation with the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany, is continuing with activities within the Mlada Evropa initiative. After the International Youth Conference held in Sarajevo from June 26 to July 4, 2014, the first of the three planned regional conferences will be held in Mostar, November 7, 2014. The remaining two conferences will be held in Banja Luka and Tuzla.
The goal of the regional conference is to provide a meeting point for Youth Officers, youth leaders, youth council representatives from FBiH and Republika Srpska, as well as representatives of the government sector who will speak about the position of youth and ways of improving it.
The conference will consist of two parts. During the first part, Cultural Attachee of the German Embassy, Mr Jens Wagner and representatives of the government sector engaged in youth issues in BiH will address the participants. After introductory and welcome speeches, the participants will attend workshops on the topics of â€śOvercoming Ethnic Divisionsâ€ť, â€śInternational connectednessâ€ť and â€śActive Citizenshipâ€ť.
During the second part of the conference, a SWOT analysis will be performed regarding the position of youth in BiH, and the goal of this workshop is to analyse the strengths, weaknesses as well as opportunities and threats faced by youth in BiH.
After the final regional conference, the conclusions from all the conferences will be consolidated into one document which will show the position of youth in BiH and offer solutions for youth issues.
