More Than 300 Youth Visit Biggest Youth Manifestation of IlidĹľa Municipality

Volunteers of the Institute for Youth Development KULT have successfully organized and completed this year’s 8th Ilidža Municipality Youth Day. Youth Day was held on Sunday, 30 June 2013 at the Educational-Leisure Centre for Youth SPAJALICA and the Summer Stage in Ilidža.

Youth Day began with a creative workshop for children, starting at 11:00 and finishing at 4:00 p.m. The youngest visitors enjoyed a creative workshop which inspired many imaginative drawings and figures reflecting the Youth Day manifestation. Once the workshop was completed, many youngsters gathered at the playground next to SPAJALICA, where a competition resembling the Olympic Games (for children) took place. The youngsters competed in sack running, tug of war and other interesting games, with the best competitors receiving awards for their effort. After the awards were handed, the members of CAS Hrasnica entertained the visitors with traditional dances and songs.

As before, the manifestation did not lack educational contents. Young people had the opportunity to see and learn how to give First Aid and prevent some of the most common injuries, with the supervision and instruction of the magnificent Red Cross team from IlidĹľa.

We should not forget the clowns, who made us laugh during the manifestation with their jokes and who painted the faces of joyful youngsters.

The concert held at the Summer Stage marked the end of the 8th Youth Day of IlidĹľa Municipality. It starred young bands from BiH who created an excellent atmosphere and entertained the visitors for several hours. The special guest of the night was Emina Tufo, one of the finalists of a music competition sponsored by one of the most popular Sarajevo TV stations.

This project was sponsored by Ilidža Municipality, the Police Administration of Ilidža Municipality, PAK Centre, DM Market, Thermal Riviera Ilidža, Hotel Hollywood, Amos Graf, Matica Café and the Educational-Leisure Centre for Youth SPAJALICA.
