Open Door Days at SPAJALICA

Even this year, the Educational-Leisure Centre for Youth SPAJALICA organised the Open Door Days. The event took place on 22 and 23 May at the premises of the Educational-Leisure Centre for Youth SPAJALICA.

The participants were sixth grade elementary school students from IlidĹľa Municipality. They took part in workshops on children’s rights, environmental protection, and environmental and traffic safety. They were also present at two exhibitions – The world through my lens and The country treasures.

The world through my lens is the exhibition which explored racial discrimination made in respect of children and their capabilities to attend schools. A special focus revolved around Roma children who, in most cases, have no possibilities to attend school classes.

The country treasures exhibition was organised for educational purposes since the students were given a chance to see various kinds of stones, some of which are very rare samples originating from other countries.

Following the workshops, the students engaged in themed games. While playing, they had a great time and got to know each other better while enjoying served refreshments.
