On Youth Employment in the Western Balkans

On May 29, 2019, Sarajevo hosted the third meeting of the Forum organized by the WeB4YES project.

WeB4YES – Western Balkan Civil Society Organisations for Youth Employment Support is a regional initiative aimed at strengthening inter-sectoral cooperation aimed at supporting young unemployed citizens in the Western Balkans and come up with innovative solutions to employability and employment issues. The goal of the initiative is to empower civil society organizations to contribute to addressing unemployment and improving the conditions for youth entrepreneurship through advocating and monitoring at the state and regional level.

During the meeting, the participants discussed previously implemented activities, and shared their opinions on topics relevant to employment, youth entrepreneurship, passive youth, laws relevant to entrepreneurs and youth leaving the country.

The Institute for Youth Development KULT founded the Forum on Youth (Self-)Employment in BiH, comprising 26 representatives of the academic community, the NGO sector, the government and the private sector, with experience in the field of youth employment and entrepreneurship.
