On 18 March 2015, a kick-off meeting of all associations, institutions and trainees of the JUPPO Project was held, organised by the Association NARKO No. The meeting was held in the Hotel Sarajevo in Sarajevo and gathered respresentatives from governmental institutions such as the Ministry of Security of BiH, the Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees, the Ministry of Civil Affairs of BiH and the representatives of NGOs, including Vesna Filipovi?, the representative from the Institute for Youth Development KULT. The Institute will have a double role in the forementioned JUPPO Project – it will be a member of the executive board of the project, but it will also participate with a trainee who will, with the other contestants, pass through the 7 modules of the interactive training conducted by experts in the fields of pedagogy, psychology and addiction prevention from Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
The JUPPO Project gathers representatives from 16 NGOs that will, through trainings and practical work with selected groups of youth, learn and apply the latest techniques and methods of addiction prevention amongst the youth within their local communities. The project will last until March 2016.
We are looking forward to excellent results and strengthening the mutual bonds and cooperation between, not only the NGOs, but also between the governmental institutions and NGOs in future projects.
