The Institute for Youth Development KULT and the Municipality Jajce, with the support of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Sweden in BiH, supported the launch of six youth-owned businesses in Jajce, with a total of 50,000 BAM.
The funds from the Entrepreneurial Fund will be used to launch an interior a design shop, concrete construction production, computer and mobile phone repair shop, a service offering different types of massages, briquette manufacturing company and a bakery.
The entrepreneurs took this brave step because they want to stay in BiH, work in their profession, do what they love, support their families and help their city and country progress by using what they learned – this is the message these young entrepreneurs sent.
“We want you to stay here, and we intend to help you make your dreams come true in your home town. The goal of our cooperation with the Institute For Youth Development KULT is improving the business climate for young entrepreneurs. I would therefore like to thank the young people from KULT for these activities on behalf of the Municipality, and for recognising our support to youth, especially when it comes to the business sector”, said the Mayor of Jajce Municipality, Edin Hozan.
The goal of the Entrepreneurial Fund is provide youth with every type of support they need, to ensure that their businesses are sustainable and able to generate jobs for other young people.
The Entrepreneurial Fund for Youth uses joint funds of the local self-government units and the Institute for Youth Development KULT, with the support of the Kingdom of Sweden, to support the development of entrepreneurship and employment of young people from 8 municipalities and cities, and the municipality of Jajce is one of the communities that decided to take part in the project.
The total amount of funds in the Entrepreneurial Fund for Youth is 400,000 BAM, which will be used to support 50-100 youth-owned businesses. So far, the Fund has supported businesses in the Municipality Stari Grad Sarajevo, Municipality Jajce, Municipality Novi Travnik, Municipality Centar Sarajevo, Municipality Modriča, City of Cazin and City of Trebinje.
