Institute Representatives Guests During Session of FBiH Parliament Commission

The agenda of the 39th session of the Commission for Economic and Financial Policy of FBiH Parliament held on Monday, May 19, contained an initiative by the Institute for Youth Development KULT.

The session was attended by the members of the Commission and representatives of the Federal Ministry of Finance, proponents of different laws and guests, including representatives of the project Strengthening Governing Institutions and Processes (SGIP) in FBiH, from the Institute for Youth Development KULT.

They presented to the members of the Commission the initiative to develop general and special criteria for awarding funds for women and youth entrepreneurship, allocated by the Federal Ministry of Development, Entrepreneurship and Crafts through the adopted fund expenditure programmes with fund allocation criteria determined in the FBiH Budget. The opportunity for the cooperation between the Institute and and the Ministry of Development, Entrepreneurship and Crafts arose during one of the previously held sessions of the Commission. The Institute wishes to ensure that measurable criteria are put in place, enabling as many NGOs as possible (related to the field of women and youth entrepreneurship) to apply for calls for awarding funds in this particular field.

Other items on the agenda discussed during the session were:

$1-       Proposal law on games of chance

$1-       Proposal law on amendments and supplements to the Law on mediation in private insurance

$1-       Draft law on FBiH treasury

$1-       Information and proposal presented by the Textile, footwear and leather association UTOK.

The Commission approved the proposals for further consideration by the Parliament, and took into consideration the problems encountered by UTOK in applying laws regulating tax obligations, so as to find an effective solution to their problems.

The Institute will inform the Commission about the outcomes of the initiative and present them with developed criteria.
