Experts from various fields came together on 18 June 2018 in Sarajevo, for the “Social Innovation and Start-ups – Practice, Challenges and Steps for Development”to discuss guidelines for developing the start-up ecosystem in BiH through innovative approaches.
The conference also helped define the way to present the guidelines to funds and public sector programs.
The participants discussed trends and in this area and identified key points for cooperation, synergy and networking of the public and private sectors and the civil society.
Part of the conference focused on the most effective approaches to designing measures and the methodology for supporting youth entrepreneurship, the connection between star-ups and the IT sector, how to redesign active measures programs in a concrete way, how to adapt teaching curricula, etc.
The conference was organized by the Southeastern Europe Youth Network (SEEYN) and the regional platform YOUSEE, with the support of the EU. The regional platform is active in 6 countries in the Western Balkans and Turkey.
The conference was attended by a representative of the Institute for Youth Development KULT.
