First Generation of UMiD for Adults Receive Certificates

The first generation of participants in the training course Learn, Think and Act! for Adults received their certificates, during a certificate award ceremony held in Sarajevo.

16 participants from BiH, who work in formal education, directly with children and youth, developed the competencies they need for teaching.

The participants had an opportunity to take part in the “Coffee Time With…” programme, where they talked and shared experiences with the president of the association “Buy and Use Domestic Products”, Admir Kapo, and the best professor, according to his students, Vedran Zubić who talked to the participants on ways to reach out students and support their development.

This training program is an effort to support high school teachers in developing competencies they need to successfully plan and implement the learning and teaching process based on the principles of experiential learning, while using more efficient and relevant teaching methods and strategies that help foster a stimulating environment where students will feel supported and motivated, and embrace lifelong learning.

This training program is intended primarily for teaching staff in high schools, but also for high school administrators, expert associates and advisors at institutes of pedagogy who can support the professional development of teaching staff.

The program uses all stages of experiential learning: simulated teaching and direct experience in working with students, reflection sessions, connecting with other situations and understanding key concepts that will allow them to use their knowledge in various situations while teaching, and in different subject areas. This program is designed to respond to the needs of teachers and other high school staff by building on their knowledge and experiences, encouraging professional dialogue, an exchange of ideas and good practices, as well as challenges in their daily work.
