Finland: Power for the Future – Where are Youth Centres in Europe?

Power for the Future conference held at the Villa Elba youth centre in Kokkola, Finland, hosted 32 youth workers, youth centre managers and project coordinators from 10 European countries (Italy, Austria, BiH, Germany, Poland, Slovakia, Turkey, Greece, Estonia, UK and Finland.

„One of the main topics at the conference was how to improve the position and the mobility of youth across Europe, how to exploit all Erasmus + programme advantages, how to promote offers and work of youth centres”, stated Vesna Filipovi?, conference participant and Educational-Leisure Centre SPAJALICA manager.   

At the conference, the participants discussed plans and projects, possible collaboration, problems youth centres are facing and how to overcome them. The conference was held from September 28 – 31 2014 and resulted in not only an excellent exchange of ideas and experience but in new relationships and future collaboration plans.
