Empowering Youth to Improve the Political Scene in BiH

During a session of «Coffee Time With…», participants of the training «Learn, Think and Act!» for young political leaders talked to H.E. Anders Hagelberg, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden in BiH, about the situation in BiH, current issues and ways to overcome challenges faced by young people.

This training is attended by leaders from 12 political parties in BiH, and it is intended to motivate young politicians to actively advocate and lobby the government to address some of the problems faced by youth in their local communities, setting an example for young people and politicians and promoting the importance of political participation and action.

The training «Learn, Think, and Act! for young political leaders, 2nd generation, is attended by 22 young people from across BiH, between 18 and 30 years of age, eager and motivated to build a political career and get actively involved in improving the position of youth in BiH.

Over the next few days, the training participants will visit the Directorate for European Integration, and have a chance to talk to Bakir Izetbegović, Chairman of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) about the current challenges and political situation.

During the training, the participants learn about human rights, gender equality and democratic processes for improving the position of youth through the development of clear strategies and managing successful advocacy campaigns.
