Eight Days of Learning, Friendship and Fun!

The UMiD 10 Summer School will begin at the Educational-Leisure Center for Youth SPAJALICA in IlidĹľa on Thursday, July 21, 2016.

The UMiD Summer School for generation 10 will be opened by the cantonal Youth Officer Lejla Lihovac and the representative of youth of IlidĹľa Municipality Ena Tuzlak.

For the 8 days, during which the Summer School will be held, youth will be learning about starting local civic initiatives, writing and implementation of projects, using social networks in online activism, human rights, peaceful resolving of conflicts; they will be spending time together, they will introduce themselves with examples of good practice, and also be presented with the concept of “UMiD Online” training. The lecturers at the workshops will be professionals from different areas with long-term experience.

As a part of the Summer School, three sessions of “Coffee Time with…” will be organized.

A Youth Worker Dino Sinanovi? will be discussing local civic initiatives with youth and teaching them how to transform their ideas into concrete activities as a part of the “Coffee Time with…” activity on July 23, 2016.

Under the same activity, the training participants will have the opportunity to learn more about human rights on July 25, 2016. The guest will be Eldar Komar, an activist of the Youth for Human Rights Initiative.

July 26 is reserved for “Coffee Time with… Volunteers of European Voluntary Service”. It will be an opportunity for BiH youth to spend time and exchange experiences with volunteers from the EU countries.

The “Coffee Time with…” sessions are open for all who are interested.

The UMiD 10 Summer School will be held from July 21 to July 28, 2016 and the participants are youth from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina aged 18 to 30.
