Are FBiH Institutions Ready to Practice Proactive Publishing of Information?

The conference “Through Partnership towards Open Government – from Vision to Action” was held in Europa Hotel in Sarajevo on June 21, 2016. The conference was organized by Transparency International in Bosnia and Herzegovina in cooperation with a coalition of NGOs in charge of the initiative. Experiences from countries in the region that are the members of the initiative were presented during the conference with the results of activities of the civil society in defining the suggestions of measures for the first Action Plan of BiH used to define new policies of openness and transparency of public institutions. The results of the research on the readiness of FBiH institutions for openness of information, i.e. the practice of proactive publishing of information were also presented along with plans for future cooperation.   

The initiative entitled “Partnership for Open Government” was also presented along with the advantages it offers and reflections on regional experiences. Particular accent was placed on the forms of improving communication with citizens for the purpose of achieving the openness of government for strengthening the transparency and responsibility of their work, which is one of the principles stated in the Reform Agenda for BiH. 

The conference was attended by a representative of the Institute for Youth Development KULT.
