After many months of effort and work, analysing adequate law solutions from the area of state audit of the region and EU, defining necessary changes and details in amendments, organising round tables and public consultations and consulting experts of the area and legal experts, the development of the Proposal Draft for the Act of Amendments of the Law on Audit of BiH Institutions was finally conducted. Based on the previous analyses of audit in the state institutions in BiH, certain problems were defined for which KULT, in cooperation with numerous non-governmental organisations focusing on issues of public expenditure, suggested concrete solutions:
– to demand that the report of the audited budget institution should contain an explanation for lack of action in accordance with the recommendations of the auditor and to be published on the web-site of the Audit Office of BiH,
– to determin the responsibility of liable persons of audited institutions with confirmed negative results,
– to define sanctions for the stated institutions and responsible individuals,
– to precisely determin how the audit of efficiency of budget institutions is performed.

We emphasize that the initiative was supported in writing by 12 non-governmental organisations that focus on the area of public expenditure and 8 political parties.
