Dual education is the right choice for a better future – this was one of the conclusions from the Employment Fair held on November 30, 2018 in Sarajevo. It was organized by the Employment Service of Sarajevo Canton in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Sarajevo Canton, vocational high schools, Employers’ Association of FBiH and the Chamber of Commerce of Sarajevo Canton.
The goal of this fair was to connect unemployed persons with employers, i.e. to reduce the unemployment rate and increase the number of employed persons.
The fair included a panel discussion on the topic “Dual Education as a Model for Solving Labor Market Issues”, during which the panelists shared their suggestions and proposals concerning dual education and its potential for improving the labor market. One of the conclusions from the panel discussion was that employers have specific needs in terms of their employee’s qualifications, and education institutions should provide such employees.
The panel discussion was attended by a representative of the Institute for Youth Development KULT.
