Supporting Youth Employment in Western Balkans

The Western Balkan Civil Society Organizations for Youth Employment Support will improve the employability of youth and the Institute for Youth Development KULT is the BiH representative in this regional project.

The initiative is intended to strengthen CSOs for participating in decision making and proposing changes to youth entrepreneurship and employment in six Balkan countries. The initiative also calls for the establishing of national and regional for a on employment, employability, entrepreneurial learning and youth entrepreneurship, trainings on public advocacy to affect policies, financial support program for CSOs implementing local employment initiatives, and the development of a web platforms intended for young job seekers in the region.

The first meeting of partner organizations, held in Belgrade on March 13 and 14, was also attended by representatives of the Institute. During the meeting, partners had an opportunity to get to know other organizations, the project, project activities and planned results, and to design the tools and methods to be used in monitoring and evaluating quality.

The project WeB4YES (Western Balkan Civil Society Organizations for Youth Employment Support) is primarily aimed at unemployed young people in the region. It allowed representatives of partner organizations to share heir experience, knowledge and examples of good practice pertaining to the improvement of the conditions for employment and entrepreneurship of youth. This laid the groundwork for national for a and a regional forum which will be held in the next few months.

The project coordinator is the Belgrade Open School (BOŠ) and partners include the Institute, Association for Democratic Prosperity – ZID (Montenegro), NGO Lens (Kosovo), Association Beyond Barriers (Albania), National Youth Council of Macedonia and the International Center Olof Palme (Sweden).

WEB4YES is funded by the European Commission, and project activities will be conducted until 2020.
