Current Committee for Finance and Budget to Discuss Qualified Opinions with Emphasis of Matter for 7 Institutions

During the 55th session of the Committee for Finance and Budget of the Parliamentary Assembly’s House of Representatives, the Audit Office for the Institutions of BiH proposed several reports which were included in the agenda for the session. 

The session was attended by representatives of the media, and the project Strengthening Governing Institutions and Processes in BiH, including a representative of the Institute for Youth Development KULT.

The Committee had a quorum and discussed the following items on the agenda:

  1. Adopting the Minutes from the 54th session of the Committee,
  2. Discussion on the audit report on the performed efficiency audit on the topic: Managing temporary service contracts, and temporary and occasional service contracts in the institutions of BiH (submitted by the Audit Office for the Institutions of BiH)
  3. Discussion on the audit report on the performed efficiency audit on the topic: Telecommunication solutions in the institutions of BiH (submitted by the Audit Office for the Institutions of BiH)
  4. Discussing audit reports on funding the work of the institutions of BiH for 2013 (submitted by the Audit Office for the Institutions of BiH)
  5. Discussion on the trimonthly financial reports of the Audit Office for the Institutions of BiH, on March 31, 2014. (submitted by the Audit Office for the Institutions of BiH).

The Committee adopted the reports on performed efficiency audits, fully endorsing the recommendations of the Audit Office for the Institutions of BiH, aimed at the possibility of cutting expenses by using more efficient technological solutions, and they believe that temporary service contracts and occasional and temporary service contracts cannot be signed for the types of work already systematised in the institutions of BiH.

Members of the Committee discussed whether the audit reports for the institutions of BiH should be discussed by the current or the following Committee, and decided that the current Committee will be the one to take under consideration the seven audit reports with qualified opinions with emphasis of matter, in the course of the next few weeks.
