On EU Anti-Trafficking Day, at Educational-Leisure Centre for Youth SPAJALICA, a lecture was held on topic of human trafficking. The lecture was organised by the Institute for Youth Development KULT in cooperation with the Archdiocese Centre for the Youth Pastoral “John Paul II”. Josip Milanovi?, an official from the Archdiocese Centre, talked about the topic of human trafficking with the High School of Graphic Technology, Design and Multimedia students. Through interesting and detailed workshops, the students introduced each other with the problem of human trafficking present in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and promised to transfer the acquired knowledge to their peers and be a part of the global campaign when it comes to fighting human trafficking.
Representatives of the Archdiocese Centre for the Youth Pastoral “John Paul II” thanked the Institute for Youth Development KULT for the invitation and to High School of Graphic Technology, Design and Multimedia students for their participation and involvement in the non-formal youth education for the purpose of educating and creating good and quality content for youth.
EU Anti-Trafficking Day is commemorated every year on 18 October. This day was declared by the European Commission, with the recommendation of the European Parliament in 2007 for the purpose of raising public and decision-makers’ awareness on the requirement of enacting better policies of prevention and fighting human trafficking.
