Education and Fun for Kids at “Little Business World”

Through a combination of a fair, workshop and playgroup, children were presented with various occupations and jobs at “Little Business World”. It was all done through learning, games and fun to provide children with an insight into the world of adults at an early age in a playful and interesting manner. The importance of the project reflects in the fact that it raises public awareness to the importance of a timely information regarding the “business world”, since a timely informedness, at an early age, is a prerequisite for a proper choice of both schooling and future occupation.

Representatives of the Institute for Youth Development KULT presented the occupation of a youth worker, i.e. the School of Friendship in which an individual has to be trained to work with youth to the kids and their parents.

“In the School of Friendship we gather children from 1st to 4th grade of primary school, twice a week in two different shifts. First we help youth do their homework, after which we work in numerous educational workshops. Furthermore, this all takes place at the Educational-Leisure Centre for Youth SPAJALICA and on Saturdays and Sundays we hold courses of English and German language for children from 1st to 9th grade of primary school” – clarified Sunita Koristovi?, an expert advisor on youth work of the Institute for Youth Development KULT.

Diana Duškaj, also an expert advisor on youth work, added that the School of Friendship conducts visits to local firms, homes for children without parental care and SOS Kinderdorfs.

During the day, the kids learned more about the presented occupations and had lots of fun along the way.

The organiser of “Little Business World” is the web-portal BoljiPosao.com, and the project partners are the Association for Supporting Children and Parents “Budu?nost (The Future)”, the Institute for Youth Development KULT and the Business portal www.akta.ba. The project was also supported by the Federal Ministry of Development, Entrepreneurship and Crafts.
