‘Rights for the Young Generation – Opportunities to Succeed´

12 participants form the Mission 6.1 visited 6 countries in 6 days, with one mission, on one bus. The participants were from non-EU countries, and EU members, with a chance to discuss on ‘Rights for the Young Generation – Opportunities to Succeed! ´. The mission was followed by a three-member reporting team that participated in the activities in order to record all that was discusses in each of the countries and thus improve the discussion.

After that, in collaboration with the reporting team, all problems noticed will be stated in the policy proposal, with recommendations to introduce adequate solutions. The policy proposal will then be considered by their permanent work groups, after which it will be voted on by the Council at the EU Summer University for Democracy in Tallinn, Estonia, from July 8 – 13.

During their visit to Sarajevo, they met with the representatives of the Institute for Youth Development KULT in order to discuss “Rights and Opportunities for Young Generations”. The current position of youth in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the most alarming data form education, employment, social care and youth political participation were presented to them.

In addition, the M1 initiative was presented, and it interested all present because they too are working on youth involvement in the electoral process in their countries.

This politically active and motivated youth find that the dialogue between like-minded from the non-EU countries, member countries and the Western Balkans may have nothing but positive outcome for all parties.
