Role of Women in Social and Political Life

Representatives of the Institute attended the seminar The Role of Women in Social and Political Life, which was held from 21 to 24 November 2013. The seminar was part of the project by the mission of  the European Council and USAID in BiH Strengthening the Role of Women and Youth Leaders in Public and Political Life of BiH, the goal of which is to help women and youth to take a more active role in BiH society, as well as to raise consciousness about the importance of the role of women in public and political life.

Participants of the seminar had a chance to get acquainted and discuss the participation of women in public and political life with MP Mrs Azra HadĹľiahmetovi? and Mrs Bedrija Tulek, entrepreneur and founder of company Baklava.ba. The seminar was attended by members of the Albanian Parliament, to whom were presented programme activities, experiences and ideas.

The activities to be carried out in 2014 include organizing lectures and workshops for women from throughout BiH. The aim of this activity is to motive women to take a more active role at the elections, both as voters and as candidates.
