Representatives of the Institute for Youth Development KULT participated in the “Beginning of the process of planning the framework budget and FBiH budget for 2017-2019” presentation organized as a part of the USAID Strengthening Governmental Institutions and Processes in Bosnia and Herzegovina (SGIP) project.
The aim of organizing the presentation was to improve the informing of MPs and place emphasis on the requirement to coordinate the annual cycle of work programming and reporting on work with the annual cycle of budget planning and performing the budget, as well as the connection between the FBiH budget and adopted public policies and/or sectoral strategies.
The presentation was attended by the MPs of the Parliament of FBiH, representatives of the executive governmental institutions in FBiH, experts, members of the academic community and representatives of civil society organizations.
The representative of the Institute for Youth Development KULT, as a part of the presentation, presented the Youth Law of FBiH and Youth Strategy of FBiH and addressed the liable institutions to additionally engage the category of youth in planning the Framework Budget Document for 2017-2019.
The SGIP project has been working on strengthening the capacity of institutions since 2013 in order for them to adopt, implement and ensure more efficient policies, laws and budgets that relate to key issues of accession to the European Union. The project is also dedicated to incenting and strengthening the non-formal professional cooperation between governmental institutions, NGOs and experts by organizing dialogical workshops focused on current topics in different fields of public management in BiH.
