The Institute for Youth Development KULT is starting with the implementation of activities as part of the project Youth Start-up Businesses, addressed at the issue of youth unemployment, by providing institutional mechanisms of support to unemployed youth interested in self-employment.
The Institute for Youth Development KULT will cooperate with seven municipalities from FBiH (Bosanska Krupa, Gračanica, Ilidža, Kakanj, Novi Travnik and Odžak) and three municipalities from Republika Srpska (Istočna Ilidža, Istočno Novo Sarajevo and Vlasenica) in order to ensure the sustainability of the established mechanisms of providing support to youth interested in starting their own businesses, thus providing pre-requisites for long-term success and more secure jobs. Local communities will provide financial support to at least 15 young person, while 50 young persons will be given an opportunity to strengthen their skills and acquire competences for finding employment, through volunteer work, while receiving expert advisory support.
In addition to steering youth towards self-employment and entrepreneurship, the Institute will cooperate with local communities on improving the youth support procedures and strategies currently in place, and developing a model of support for starting youth businesses.
Another important goal of the project, in addition to establishing mechanisms for institutional support is showing youth the self-employment possiblities offered by their own loval community.
The Project Youth Start-up businesses is funded by local communities and YEP (Youth Employment Project).
