The excursion site “Točak” (eng. Wheel) will be turned into an oasis of peace thanks to young enthusiasts and the association “Zeleni vrh” (eng. Green Summit) from Bosanska Krupa.
Thanks to the action “Get the WHEEL rolling” this excursion site in the local community Pištaline will be provided with new benches, the stream bed and banks will be cleaned and a new fence will be installed.
Youth from the association “Zeleni vrh” want this excursion site to be a meeting point for people of all ages in their local community, and place where youth can engage in recreational activities.
The action will be implemented by 20 young people who don’t want their community to be isolated from other parts of the Bosanska Krupa municipality, and the action is a way for them to call attention to youth in this community and the activities they’ve conducted throughout the years.
The implementation of this activity was supported by the Institute for Youth Development KULT, as one of the local civil initiatives implemented across BiH.
A local civil initiative (LGI) is an activity undertaken by citizens and intended to improve the quality of life in their community and society. Citizens can take part in civic activities individually or as a group, with the goal of drawing attention to and solving concrete problems in their community.
