Young Activists From 10 Countries Building a Better Tomorrow For New Generations

The Institute for Youth Development KULT is part of the initiative „Active Youth – Step Towards Making a Change Together“

This initiative will enlist experienced youth workers and activists from BiH, Serbia, Monte Negro, Slovakia, Macedonia, Croatia, Kosovo*, Albania, Greece and the Czech Republic, who will work on facilitating the active participation of youth in the public and political life of the community. The goal is to encourage youth in these countries to take a more active part and give a bigger contribution to affecting change that they themselves need.

If we want real change, we have to start by changing young people’s attitudes – is one of the starting points of this initiative.

Online activism, human and civil rights, making voting obligatory are only a few of the topics these young activists will tackle during the initiative.

Young activists will attend a 4-day training, take part in local actions and create a series of recommendations for improving the position of youth.

The first meeting of the team in charge of implementing the initiative was held on 13 April 2018 in Sarajevo, and the public call for young activists who will participate in the implementation will be issued in the beginning of May.

The initiative is led by the Development Youth Center, the Association YouthWatch from Slovakia, Intermedia from Serbia, COSMO from Monte Negro and the Institute for Development KULT, with the support of the Council of Europe’s European Youth Foundation.
