The aim of the Conference is to present the achieved results and goals in the project of strengthening young women and their role as active participants in social events and to present the contribution of the project to different actors that focus on the issue of gender and youth issues in Bosnia and Herzegovina. A ceremony of awarding certificates on completing the programme of KOŠNICA to participants (youth female leaders form 12 BiH municipalities) will be held at the Conference and Košnica Foundation will be promoted.
KOĹ NICA project is being implemented by the Institute for Youth Development KULT and BH Expert Association and is completely financially supported by UN WOMEN (United Nations Agengy for Gender Equality and Strengthening Women). The project is being realised from December 2009 to December 2011.
The aim of the KOĹ NICA project is to increase the emancipation and confidence of young women, their awareness of the importance of their active involvement as public figures in the democratic society, to create new partnerships with local associations and with the authorities and to increase representation of women in BiH society. Over 180 young women from 12 selected BiH municipalities participated in the project.
