SPAJALICA: Damir Marjanovi? – Let’s Enable Creativity Competition Among Youth

The Institute for Youth Development KULT and the Educational-Leisure Centre SPAJALICA organised a second “Coffee With…” professor Damir Marjanovi? – former Education, Science and Youth Minister of Canton Sarajevo – within the frame of the critical thinking with youth on politics and youth in politics empowerment with the aim to increase youth electorate.

„Our duty is not to tell youth what they should do, but to tell them to start thinking. Unfortunately, we are creating a so-called “Parrot Generation”, and then fall for the wise students who memorise a couple of professor’s phrases and repeat our words. This happens because the professors like hearing their words repeated. That kind of self-centredness does not cost us much. Today’s students need to be encouraged to think and use information and if they did not judge someone on the basis of their words but their deeds, things would be a little different. This would breed creativity contest among youth”, stated professor Damir Marjanovi? at SPAJALICA.

An inspirational dialogue and the “Coffee With” time spent with professor Damir Marjanovi? had a pleasant atmosphere, especially for the presence of the educational sector representatives heating up the working atmosphere at SPAJALICA, in addition to young people present.
