The Institute for Youth Development KULT will be taking part in the “Volunteer and Credit” project this year as well.
The “Social Day” will be held on May 25, 2016 during which the Institute will accommodate 15 high school students in its premises. The employees will introduce the students with the activities of the Institute and try to acquaint them with the manners of working in the non-governmental sector. Several students will be spending the day at the Educational-Leisure Center for Youth SPAJALICA.
During their stay at the Institute, youth will have the opportunity to find out more about youth activism, on the manners of engaging themselves in the social and political life of their community and starting initiatives for positive changes.
The Social Day is a part of the “Volunteer and Credit” project and the idea is for the students to exchange one day of attending classes with a day of volunteering in companies and NGOs. They will be paid a wage for their work intended exclusively for the requirements of their projects.
The “Volunteer and Credit” project is being realized by the “Infohouse” Association and the main goal is to strengthen youth capacities in order to train them to take responsibility for their professional future, local community development and improvement of youth status as a whole.
