“Funky Guerilla” Social Company – Opportunity for New Workplaces

The “Most” (“The Bridge”) Association from Gradiška initiated a campaign for additional fundraising for expanding the production capacities of the “Funky Guerilla” social company. After the initial support provided to the Association through the program of local initiatives of the Youth Employment Project (YEP) and with the support of the Swiss Government that ended in March 2015, the social company acts entirely in accordance with the market principles. The income realized from the business of the company is used to finance the activities of the Association such as “Be a Man” Club, “Gnijezdo” (“The Nest”) Day Center, the voluntary service and other.

The campaign that is being implemented via the www.indiegogo.com crowdfunding platform aims to expand the production and create new workplaces. This social company employs long-term unemployed youth from the records of the Unemployment Agency of Gradiška who often belong to marginalized populations.

The extent of the activists’ efforts in youth work and improvement is visible through their active participation in the Expert Associate for Youth Work training conducted by the Institute for Youth Development KULT.

“The training aided me in realizing that youth work is a job I actually wish to pursue. Having completed the training successfully, I also attended numerous conferences. I plan to continue my self-development in the area of youth work” – states Rina Kneževi?, from the “Most” Association.

The aim of the campaign is to gather funds in the amount of $ 21,000 in 30 days. In the first 14 hours, 3% of the amount was gathered, i.e. $ 587. The citizens can contribute to the fundraising via the following website:  https://goo.gl/O9GbJq

Considering that the “Funky Guerilla” is one of the first campaigns of this type in Bosnia and Herzegovina, besides fundraising, it also has a great symbolic and motivational meaning.

We invite you to support the campaign and share the information on social networks.
