The Institute for Youth Development KULT invites all people from Bosnia and Herzegovina with completed secondary education (at least), to apply for a Traning Course for Associate Experts on Youth Work (Youth Wokers)

The Institute for Youth Development KULT is organising training for associate experts on youth work that will last for 20 days (160 hours). The training aims to support those who work with youth for improving their skills and knowledge in order to develop youth work in BiH. Besides the training, the participants will engage in practical work in their communities.

All those who have completed their secondary education, who work with youth at youth centres or at youth clubs, NGOs, schools, counselling centres, centres for social work and other institutions may apply for the training. Every applicant must be supported by his/her organisation or institution in order to participate.

You may apply for the training online HERE.

You may apply no later than 20 July 2015, 17:00.

Belated applications will not be accepted or considered. Names of elected training participants will be disclosed in the beginning of August 2015 on the website of the Institute www.mladi.org. The elected training participants will be informed via e-mail that they stated in their applications.

Youth work is a planned programme of informal education designed to provide support for  youth in the process of becoming independent adults and this is achieved with the help of youth workers who assist them in personal and social development in order to become active individuals of the society in which they live.

The Institute for Youth Development KULT advocated the acknowledgment of the occupation of associate expert on youth work in 2014, and the occupation was entered into the work position classification under the code 3412 by the decision of the Agency for Statistics of BiH.

This is a significant step in standardising youth work and presents a form of social recognition, not only of the occupation, but of informal education as a form of professional training.
