About the project
Orange Voices is an initiative of the Institute for Youth Development KULT whose goal is to promote gender equality.
The initiative comprises:
Orange Day campaigns: 7 simultaneous campaigns will be organised and implemented in 5 towns, every 25th day of the month. The goal of each campaign will be raising consciousness of gender inequality by using various methods (e.g. round tables, exhibitions, online campaigns, etc.). One of the following topics will be addressed each month: 1. Gender-based violence; 2. Gender pay gap and gender-responsive budgeting; 3. Fighting trafficking in persons; 4. Economic empowerment of women; 5. Political participation of women; 6. Women in safety and peace initiatives; 7. Women in media and marketing.
Training course for trainers – 20 participants will attend a training course for trainers, during which emphasis will be placed on promoting gender equality. After completing the training course, the trainers will hold 40 trainings for their peers.
The partners in the project are: Youth Council of the Municipality Velika Kladuša, Youth Council Bijeljina, Youth Council of the Municipality Posušje, Youth Council of the Municipality Grude.
The initiative is funded by the U.S. Embassy in BiH.
