Institute for Youth development organised the first BiH petition within the No Excuse – Europe Now! Campaign on March 27 2014 in Sarajevo, in collaboration with Civil Initiative Centres (CCI). The objective of the campaign is to have BiH citizens support BiH – EU integration process acceleration. The campaign is intended to provide a tool for BiH citizens to raise their voice against a delay in this process and demand specific actions of their elected representatives towards acceleration of BiH – EU integration process.
The campaign officially opened on March 27th with the first booth for signing petitions at Fra Grgo Mati? Square in Sarajevo. The citizens will have the chance to sign the petition in all larger cities in BH and other petitions will be organized in Sarajevo as well.
The Hungarian and Austrian Foreign Affairs Ministers Janosa Martony and Sebastian Kurz supported the petition. They have stated their conviction in NGO sector changing politician’s awareness and that initiatives coming from a smaller group of people are often a good basis for god ideas and reforms.
