The 1-day event entitled “Dialogue: Una-Sana Canton Youth Strategy” during which the Working Group of the Una-Sana Canton Government started the dialogue with youth, civil society organizations focusing on youth issues and youth councils in order to hear opinions and suggestions of all interest parties was held in Biha?, on April 12, 2016.
The ceremony of opening the event was performed by the Una-Sana Canton Prime Minister Izudin Sara?evi?, with the support of the Cantonal Minister of Education, Culture and Sports Adis Muharemovi?.
As Minister Muharemovi? emphasized during his introductory address, the Ministry is prepared to work on developing, adopting and implementing the document in the following period.
The event was attended by representatives of relevant institutions and organizations and the topics of the conversation revolved around different areas that were the subject of the future strategy:
• Youth work, employment and entrepreneurship
• Youth education and science
• Youth social care
• Youth health care
• Youth safety
• Culture and sports
• Youth activism (participation, volunteering and mobility)
Una-Sana Canton Youth Council used its participation in the dialogue to demonstrate the importance of the role of cantonal assemblies in developing strategic documents for youth and the results of the dialogue will be included in the draft of the Una-Sana Canton Youth Strategy.
The Youth Strategy is the first strategic youth document in Una-Sana Canton and the Una-Sana Canton Government previously appointed the Working Group members for its development. The Institute for Youth Development KULT is appointed to provide professional and advisory support in the process of developing the Strategy.
