Meeting with Mr Niko Lozan?i?; Subject: Proposal for Frame-Law on Incentives for Youth Employment in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

On May 12, 2014, the representatives of the Institute for Youth Development KULT held a meeting with Mr Niko Lozan?i?, a representative of HDZ BiH in the Parliamentary Assembly BiH for an initiative of a Proposal for frame law on incentives for youth employment in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Proposal was directed to consideration and adoption to the House of Representatives as urgent. The discussion on this law is yet to follow, but it is encouraging that the House of Representatives of PABiH qualified the discussion as urgent and of utter importance.

The necessity and importance of such legal solution were discussed at the meeting, as well as advantages and disadvantages of the law’s text, possibilities of promotion and future collaboration in this and similar initiatives. Mr Lozan?i? accentuated that the process and the measures predicted by this legal solution are not open for a month or a year, but it is a continual process, and the incentives predicted by this law will not affect filling up various funds, because the unemployed do not fill up any funds anyway, and the motivation for employers to employ young and educated workforce is significant.

More on the legal solution and the Institute’s opinion here.
