Let’s Change Our World! is the topic of this years’ International Youth Day that celebrates a quarter of the world’s populace. There are 1.8 billion youth from 10 to 24 in the world today, and many have no opportunity for education and lack other opportunities they deserve.
Peer educators commemorated 12 August – International Youth Day as a part of Info-Point for Youth project. For the occasion, in front of the Educational-Leisure Centre for Youth SPAJALICA they shared promo-material, discussed with youth about their rights in decision-making and promoted rights of youth to sexual and reproductive health, as well as improving gender equality. Through this activity, peer educators tried to incite youth to active participation in all areas of social life and animate them to involve in activities of significance for development of their community.
