The four-member expedition of the Institute for Youth Development KULT spent three days in Doha, the capital of Qatar. The KULT was invited by The Doha Debates to take part in the April series broadcast which held a motion under the name “Should the Arab governments take urgent measures to protect religious minorities”. The hosts centered the debate by relating to the current situation in Syria, and also by frequent incidents that are taking place in the Middle East. The hosts, led by a noted and the award-winning BBC’s journalist, Tim Sebastian, showed a great interest in the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, particularly in the perspective for creating tolerance and establishing a dialogue among young people.
During their stay in Qatar, KULT’s representatives took the opportunity to visit Education City, a megalomaniac complex which hosts seven world-renowned universities. The visits were made to Northwestern and Georgetown University, Qatar Interfaith Institute, the Head Office and the Career Fair at Qatar Foundation.
There are possibilities for establishing the cooperation between Qatar Foundation and the Institute for Youth Development KULT, in sphere of providing support for youth, upon conducting the work visit. In the upcoming period, both parties will take the initiatives for concrete actions.
