Bearing in mind the importance of promoting HIV and AIDS awareness and prevention among young people in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the fight against HIV and AIDS, the Institute for Youth Development KULT signed in September a Memorandum of Understanding regarding the project Love Karavan, with the associations VIBRATION and INFOHOUSE.
The Federal TV Station and Alternative Television Banja Luka broadcast the television series, which enabled the networking and media presentation of the most important activities carried out in the field of prevention and fight against HIV and AIDS under the project Info-Point for Youth. Peer educators from KULT took part in several episodes answering questions such as: the things we should focus on when using condoms, the methods of HIV transmission, the most common mistakes made when using a condom, how we cannot get infected with HIV, whether condoms should be used during oral sex, if it is possible to identify a person living with HIV, etc. Moreover, a presentation on activities undertaken under the project Info-Point for Youth was given. This Project enables young people to become informed and to get counselling assistance on their sexual and reproductive health. This is also the place where young people can get contraceptives.
